I had my consultation with Dr Birtle today after being seen by a number of other nhs staff. I was still coming to terms with my diagnosis but immediately felt reassured and comfortable with Dr Birtle and although my news wasn't great I feel totally confident in her care. With the help of her suppodt and expertise I feel I can fight this.

This first video consultation went very well. Dr Birtle reviewed my diagnosis and the projected treatment clearly. I am confident that I'll receive good advice and support during the next few months.

Perhaps the most sympathetic, listening, natural doctors I have ever met complete with a good sense of humour. I had a zoom type meeting with her at our respective homes. She encouraged my wife to join the conversation about my prostrate cancer and she told us both about the situation and the prognosis with complete candour. No subject was taboo and she answered all our questions as fully as possible. She was thoroughly charming and found time to discuss things other than the case. Her home setting complete with her cat certainly put at our ease. I came away with great confidence in her ability to deal with my case.

I had a video consultation with Dr Birtle and from the first minute I was put at ease and this continued throughout my conversation with her. She was patient, understanding and extremely reassuring. I felt I could ask questions and was given honest answers. Dr Birtle is very patient focussed and oozes empathy in what can only be described as a difficult time for a patient. At the end of the consultation ( which was never hurried) I knew exactly my plan of treatment. I have total trust in this experienced, knowledgable, caring consultant. She is a credit to her profession.
